Setting Goals

Setting goals is a powerful technique that will help you achieve goals in all aspects of your life. It will help you clarify where you want your life to go, how to identify your strengths and weaknesses and how to achieve it all.

The following guidelines will help you to set goals and effectively put them in practice:

1. Write your goals down. You can organize them into areas such as family, career, personal, spiritual, physical, educational, etc.

2. Write as many as you need to and make sure that you write them in a positive tense.

3. Be Precise. Write down details, timeframe, and any other information that will help you make a clear picture of your exact goal, especially if these goals are complex.

4. Make sure that your goals are real and not something that sounds or look like something you want to do. Be clear, write down details and make sure it is something you are passionate about.

5. Set Priorities for all of your goals. This helps you to avoid feeling overwhelmed by too many goals, and helps to direct your attention to the most important ones.

6. Aim high, aim for the sky. Dream big and don’t assume that if a goal has never been accomplished, you can’t be the first.
